James Bond Theme song
Just heard the new Bond song. Sounds like an insipid copy of Skyfall to me. What possessed them to use Sam Smith?
Anyway top 5 Bond songs for me :

Live and Let Die- Wings
You Only live Twice - Nancy Sinatra
From Russia with Love - Matt Monro
We have all the time in the World - Louis Armstrong
Nobody does it Better - Carly Simon

Heard Sam Smith in an interview this morning that it took him 20 mins to write it.... as if that was a good thing!

Heard a bit of it.
Thought it was Jimmy Somerville. But gayer.
Is Sam Smith a real person or just a Matt Lucas character?
Almost as bad as that Rugby World Cup thing

It was boring and a bit cheesy. Should have given it to Louisa JOHNSON.

Just heard this myself and it's fucking terrible.

Considering Bond is a spy though, shouldn't really have a wrong un singing the song anyway.

For Your Eyes Only is the all time best tune.

I think it's pretty good, it's Bond through and through. Might be a grower for some but I don't think it's at all bad.

Chris Cornell's was pretty boss.

Writing's on the Wall is fucking dreadful. Boring, soulless, empty...just a pile of powdery wank.

A view to a kill and the B-side, A fatal Kiss, are both very good.

Re: James Bond Theme song
By chucking a load of strings in there it's 'bondified' it but much as I like Sam smiths voice for ballads etc, can't help but think this needed a bit less squeaky rad and a bit more oomph. I'm still surprised buble hasn't bern given the gig at some point - cry me a river was practically an audition for a bond theme

Also dies writing in the wall mention the word 'spectre/Spector' in it at all? If not, fucking shame on them
